52 Fridays – Week 9 {Alone}

“An artist requires the upkeep of creative solitude.

An artist requires the healing of time alone.”

Julia Cameron – The Artist’s Way

As the mom of three, alone time for me is a rare commodity. Couple that with the perfectionist, list maker, task master personality and it is very difficult for me to put aside the to-do list to take time to create – just for me. This image doesn’t necessarily evoke the sense of being alone but for me it represents a willingness to put aside everything else in order to do one thing that fills my heart when I am alone.

Next up on the circle is Kate Williams | Southwest Wyoming Lifestyle Portrait & Wedding Photographer.  You can check out her interpretation of this week’s theme here.  Be sure to follow the circle – you won’t be sorry – her images make me want to spend some time alone in Wyoming.

Kate - Melinda I can totally relate to your words. This is such a lovely image. I’m happy that this week inspired you to create something that you may not have without the push of the 52 Week Project! It is why I continue on even though there are times when I feel like I’m scrambling for images. :)

Sabrina - Gorgeous image and that bokeh is just amazing! I struggle, too, with any alone time I have because I feel like there are so many things I should do that I almost get stuck and do nothing! Pursuing what’s on your heart is always the right choice!
